I'll dominate 'legitimate fighter' Jake Paul - Joshua
Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the pair met personally to publicize next month's bout.
Former two time unified boxing king Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge disparity - at Miami venue on 19 December.
Fighter's Mentality
"I'm going to injure his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.
"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.
"I will seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my goal."
Respectful Interaction
Despite those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - normally known for his theatrics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul instead targeted former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK opponent Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer said.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.
Paul's Background
Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
Still, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, consistently making massive paydays.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would prevent the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.
Physical Difference
As both boxers participated in the traditional face-off, with their height and weight contrast evident, it drove home just how surprising this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is actually happening.
